The purpose of this study is to document and determine the need for an potential extension of SR 400 from its current terminus at SR 60/SR 115 in Dahlonega in Lumpkin County to the Cleveland Bypass in White County. Georgia DOT has partnered with Lumpkin and White counties to review methods to increase accessibility and ease of travel within the area while addressing safety and geometric concerns along the SR 115 corridor.

I’ve been saying 400 needs to be extended for years. Expand limited access. Hopefully there won’t be much resistance. It’s just like 316. Interchanges are needed.

Run it north & then run a E-W limited access highway to 85 & then to 75.

Oh great, that's just what 400 needs. More traffic.

Switch the order of these two things and I might soften my opposition.

There’s traffic now and there will continue to be increased traffic as time goes on regardless of the addition of exits. Best to get it done ASAP.

It's just going to dump more traffic downstream into North Fulton.

It would be there either way.

You guys miss the point - it's to widen the road btwn US19 and US129 on GA 115. It makes it a safer road. If you haven't driven it in the last five yrs - you don't know how bad it is at times. The only increase in traffic will be bringing more Atlantans & Gwinnetticians to the mountains every weekend.

Agreed. I’ll add that interchanges will be just as much of a help getting to and fro.
