Senior Citizens in Coweta County (Atlanta, Savannah: apartments, for rent, homes)

Hi,

I've mentioned in other posts that my family and I are hoping to make the move to GA within a few months. We are going to be moving with my father who is 80. He has enjoyed living in an assisted living community within our town for the last few years. When we move he would like to find another senior community like the one he is in now. His development consists of individual apartments and a recreation room.

Does anyone have information on such places in Coweta county? We would not be interested in nursing homes. If we can't find such a place then we plan to look at an in-law set up in our own home. He really enjoys his privacy and independence, so a community would be ideal. He still drives, is very active, and likes to shop. A community near a grocery store, pharmacy, doctors' offices, etc. would be best.

Any suggestions or inside information would be most appreciated.

Cool Mommy,yes there is a very nice and fairly large complex on hwy 29,I've been away awhile don't recall the name,but I believe it offers many types of assisted living.Hope this helps .

I have a walk-out basement apartment on a mini farm that your father may like. My partner and I are both middle aged nurses. You can see the ad listed under apartments for rent in Craig's List, Atlanta, GA.
