I'm visiting my cousin for about 7-15 days in April. What is there to do in Valdosta for a 27 year old male? I mainly need something to do during the weekdays while she's at work. I should mention she close by an University and a Military base.

During the weekdays? There isn't a whole lot. Valdosta has one mall (Which is alright since they added the front courtyard thing. LOL) They have Wild Adventures but not sure if you would want to dish out the money for that. You can go walk the middle school track for excersize, or go to Booksamillion. They have little couches and chairs you can sit in there reading books and looking through magazines.

CJ's is a sports bar you can play pool at. I am not sure of the day hours though.

The dollar theater on Ashley Street would prob be about the only other thing unless you want to hit up the big theater by the mall.

Hope this helps.

By the University AND Moody (the base)? They are kind of far apart (in my opinion).
There isn't much to do in Valdosta....really.
Valdosta is the type of place that is only semi-fun if you have a group of friends to do nothing with.

My ex gf is from Valdosta, I hate that f-ing place! Lol, but seriously, from what I understand there is some kind of amusement park in the area.

It's funny that even after Robsouth asked for suggestions, you still didn't name anything.

"Such as?" is exactly what my post said before I edited it to say "--," because I knew you'd give a response like the one you gave him.

It doesn't matter what I'm interested in, because I've already stated nothing interests me there. However, you think there is plenty to do, so what do YOU do around here?
I simply answered the question that the original poster asked, when you told me to get off the couch. For the record, my butt rarely touches a couch, especially now that I live elsewhere. You failed to answer the original poster's question AND robsouth's question.

So... do you sit on the porch with family? Go walk around the mall? There is nothing wrong with either of those, but you make it seem like Valdosta is a happening place. It's not really. The majority of people are bland as well, like half zombie, half clone.

Are you "born, raised, and stayed" here southgeorgia? That would be a logical explanation for our disagreements, but remember that your opinion of fun, might not be everyone's. You might like small towns -- I don't.

UTHORNS96: I'm from Valdosta, but when I've taken any of my friends/girlfriends from other cities here, they hate the place as well. They've never experienced anything so draining, nor have I.

i asked for specifics because i have little interest in making a list of things to do.

you may ask if certain activities or entertainment exist here and i will gladly answer. but i make no time for the torpid.
