I am a 25yr old mother of 3 little girls. My husband and I are looking to move south from South Jersey. My only concerns are to live in a safe place that is family friendly and that the schools are good. I would appreciate it if someone would point me in the right direction. We also have 3 dogs and 2 cats so somewhere without at least an acre is not an option. Please help!! Thanks.

ps. if i forgot to add any important details just let me know and i'll let you know the answer.

I really think the Athens/Commerce area would be right for you. Pretty area, good schools, pretty close to Atlanta and the mountains.

Oconee County sounds like an option for you.

What about job(s)?? I would say you probably need to see what's available in your field and then go from there.

With the unemployment rate at 10% now, it would be extremely unwise to move here without employment secured, unless you are in a super-specialized field. That said, Atlanta is a huge city of 6 million, with massive urban sprawl. You really need to know where you are going to work before looking for a place to live.
