My late mother in law lived in Dunwoody. The traffic is a nightmare and the cost of living, especially housing, is very high for Georgia. I think it's less diverse than much of Atlanta metro. It's very congested and still growing.

Is traffic bad?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa.....
oh.. sorry.

Dunwoody is in one of the most highly dense traffic areas of Atlanta (meaning in the whole Southeast). "Bad" would not begin to describe it, sorry.

As far as diversity, think more "upper-middle income, white, 2.5 children, minivan, brick-front subdivision home", kinda area. A couple of years ago or so a couple of tornados swept through that area (nicknamed the "Dunwoody tornados") and did a tremendous amount of damage to homes and knocking down thousands of trees, so the landscape isn't as tree-ish as it once was, but it is at least still an overall attractive area as far as homes/streets go. Not super high crime compared to other areas.

It's a very Jewish area also. I'd wager that It's 25% Jewish

As a Dunwoody resident, I disagree with some of the information posted. I love our area. I feel it is very diverse culturally. My husband grew up here and we moved back here to raise our children because of the diversity. The traffic isn't the best, but by all means, it is not the worst either. Traffic is just a part of living in Atlanta. I would be happy to talk to anyone about Dunwoody. My email address is coloradoswan@yahoo.com.

We have lived in Dunwoody since 2014. You can't beat the convenience to I-285, I-85 and 400. We live only about 1 mile from I-285, which is great. If you live more tucked in, then yes, your commute may be bad. But honestly, that's going to apply anywhere you live in the metro area, especially if you live and work close to the perimeter or inside the perimeter. The population in single family (owned) homes in Dunwoody is predominantly white. Local rental housing appears to have a different demographic. Avoid Ashford Dunwoody Road as the traffic configuration there (design called Diverging Diamond) is an absolute nightmare, actually has made traffic flow worse, and was a total waste of taxpayer money.
