My dad was thinking a buying property there. Any comments on the place. Negative or positive.

For years, Nahunta was considered pretty remote and neglected, today a bit less so due to the growth of the Brunswick metro westward into Brantley County. Still, it's not a very exciting place...it still retains a pretty rural feel.
Be warned that the market has been hit pretty hard by the recession there and there is a lot of available housing stock (and bankrupt builders).

'They' did not have a KKK rally. A group filed the necessary paperwork with the city/county to hold a rally that didn't garner much attention other than from the people whom believe it was the residents that called the meeting.

Agree on the boring, though. The location is pretty decent because it's close to Brunswick and Jacksonville. Real estate and taxes are cheap. Schools are mediocre at best.

A getaway property there would be nice...remote, quiet and a few decent places to eat without waiting in line.

Michael

Yeah it might be a nice retirement house or something.

I am not sure that one can actually call Nahunta a town, it is very small. The KKK ralley goes back to freedom of speech and did not have anything to do with what the people of Nahunta think. Racists are everywhere and they are not always white..
The problem with Brantley county is that they have a huge drug problem, i mean huge..
