My daughter attends Pinewood and we couldn't be happier. We have nothing but a great teacher all throughout. We've attended Endeavor, Explorer, and Pinewood. As for EKHS, we just found out that her freshman class will have 800+ students. Class sizes can't exceed 32 students. That seems like a lot to me, but as for the other schools, we love it.

Thank you for the feedback. Is there a policy that confines children to a certain school or do the parents have a choice to transfer to another school. I am concerned about Townline Elem. it is rated at 2 stars on a school rating site :-(

be careful..
I attended kentwood schools in the past. I would never in a million years send my children there. Granted I have not been in school for 8 years but i still know a few kids through my brother that go there. I am not a fan of any of the public schools. the only one i think i would send my kids to is Caledonia. Kettle Lake Elm. Is a really good Elm. School.

I'm a substitute teacher in Kentwood, and I really like it. It's a good diverse environment, but what really impresses me is the staff. It's just a really well run district. There's a lot of structure and good standards. I got the impression that if I had kids and sent them to Kentwood, they'd be in very good hands

Well east kentwood is a lot better than any grand rapids public school lol. Now if you were to ask about anything in the grand rapids public i'd say NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS. East Kentwood wouldn't be the end of the world, but if you have a chance to go elsewhere I think I would.

I am from the class of 80 at East Kentwood, and man, have things changed for the worse there! in the late 70's it was the role model of high schools and now? uhmmm.... how can I put this nicely????... You might want to find another school! The city of Kentwood is a nice place, but a number of years ago some apartment complexs went in and low cost housing, and the school just went down from there. Its better than Grand Rapids public tho..
