I totally agree with your statement. And, I would also make sure that the grandmother never had any contact with the child again. But, then again, do you really think the grandmother just happened to become abusive after all these years? I believe she she could very well have abused her own children when they were growing up. And I, as a mother, would not allow someone that I know has a tendacy to be abusive, be around my son in the first place.
