Capitalism convinces us that If we are not wealthy it is not the fault of the individual and some terrorist believe if they want 70 virgins ,they have to die first.
IMO this is necessary because for our survival, being in a group has more advantages to not being in a group. Further more a group of humans can achieve more collectively than each member alone. Maybe politics developed as a conduit between small groups with varying sets of values and mores.
I don't think so. I believe both exist to bring order to peoples. Religion tells us just how we are supposed to act in order to be considered a good person in the eyes of our fellows. Politics are just a way to ensuring the success of a given people. In regards to donald trump, I'm not convinced being a child of his would be that much of an advantage. Money has never been much of a measure of a man.

Hardly. Conservatives are representing a culture. A culture that includes a religious component, one that encourages progeny.

Republicans' fertile future / Through the past three decades, conservatives have been procreating more than liberalsSeptember 17, 2006|By Vicki Haddock, Insight Staff Writer

If you're a liberal, here's what you can do to make Karl Rove a very happy man: Get yourself a labradoodle. Or any other kind of dog, for that matter. Even a cat will do.

Just don't have children.

That way you'll maintain a fertility gap that already is invisibly working to guarantee the political right will outnumber the left by an ever-growing margin.

Over the past three decades, conservatives have been procreating more than liberals -- continuing to seed the future with their genes by filling bassinets coast to coast with tiny Future Republicans of America.

Why do we need to go to Church every week when we can cast a vote for a politician to accomplish the same thing?
Many people don't see political science as a theory. They believe it to be absolute laws in which they are willing to crusade for. I'm reminded of George Wallace's mantra, “I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.”
Of course in hindsite we have found that segregation in theory as a permanent solution is impractical in American society. But statements like this so prevalent today, represents the moral absolutism that dominates political discourse.
