Though only put out in late June, this video is like yesteryear already.

The recent spectacle of the U.S. congress treating the national debt, default, etc. as the usual partisan football tells me that the U.S. as a nation has its head where the sun don't shine.

Slash programs that are used by lower income people and families, but don't raise taxes even for the fabulously wealthy top 5% of the population? What clearer demonstration could there be that the majority of U.S. politicians are in office to serve an oligarchy, not the common good.

Therefore, I am totally pessimistic now that the U.S. will have the intelligence and will to gain control of its national debt.

I think so. Both parties won't step away from the cash they bring in or borrow. We are going to have a massive financial failure in the next few years
