Thom Hartmann always has great debates and is a very smart person.
I was going to send this question to him to see what he would say, but I keep on forgetting to do it.
Does fear of having a homosexual boy increases early pregnancies?
Sounds like a crazy title, but it's a serious question about our culture.
Growing up in South America got me thinking about this.
My mother visited me and she asked my 1st grader son if he had a girlfriend.
Usually the kid says yes, and the grandparents are happy about it.
My problem is that that encourages little kids to start "hitting" on girls or make them feel like losers if they don't have a girlfriend.
I believe that doing that pushes kids into having girlfriends when they are very young. Add to that, all the parents that give magazines and videos to their little kids "For them to learn to be a man"
By the time those kids become teenagers... well, you know the rest of the story.
Now, what do you think? Does fear of having a homosexual boy increases early pregnancies?
Teen pregnancy is a sure sign of nation' vitality. Show me a country without noticeable teen pregnancy I'll show you soon to be dead and rotten country. What deep down upsets Americans is not teen pregnancy per se but "concentration" of teen pregnancy among certain ethnic and socio economic groups
I thought that having sex led to teen pregnancies.

Are you saying that Americans are afraid that too many hispanics are having kids?
I don't know about that, but I do know one thing. When you have possibly 12- 20 million people living here from a country where the age of consent is 12. Then we're going to have some problems. That's a cultural mindset that's immigrating to this country. Yes, it's 12. Look it up. Like I said, Latino culture.
