If people knew as much about their own personal and professional situations as they know about the payroll of their favorite teams, they would be much more successful. It is amusing to read post about what a GM should do with a sports team and how payroll should be increased or decreased.

...And also the way many people refer to these multimillionaires (who wouldn't give them the time of day if they ran into each other on the street) by their first names.

The worst are the people with movie stars, reading about their personal lives even posting on "their" facebooks.

Let's also not forget the use of the word "we." As in, "We should trade Joe Blow." Or, "We'll be in the playoffs, for sure."

everybody wants to be SOMEbody and by talking about those subjects, it makes them feel like they're already part of it. be it, rich, famous, or co owner in a football team
