Ok, latest news! The garden is doing so good! We have 7' sunflowers towering over the rear of the garden and the nasturtiums are HUGE! Apparently I am not too good with herbs as I didn't even get the chives to sprout lol The lettuce is growing so nice and we have had quite a few meals with our "grow your own" stuff. I am not the best plant identifier so we may be eating some catnip in our salmon loaf or dill... or is that cinnamon basil? The neighbors are bringing over old veggies and grass clippings for us now.

It's been a huge joy to have this little garden and such fun to watch the tiny seeds turn into something beautiful AND edible. I have used no insecticides and the bugs aren't too bad. Maybe some crunching and nibbling on the brocolli but it's not my favorite anyway lol

This whole green living idea has been a big thing in my son's preschool too so he is the "Green Sheriff" around here. We practically toss out zero paper and he showed me the recommended amount of toilet tissue to use so that we would "kill less trees". If you must know, there is no addition to this measley amount even if you go #2 He also woke up from a nap and said, "Mom, the earth is mad." I asked why and he stated that we MUST compost more to make it happy. Ok, the sheriff is only 4 but I think he is wiser than most even at that tender age.

I'll try to find my camera and get some shots for you. I have some good ones from the cow pasture that I am sure you'd love By the way, did I mention that a "hot" electric fence hurts like the dickens?
