We recently saw an interesting product while shopping for countertops called Paperstone. Apparently it is made of recycled paper and non-toxic resins. Does anyone own this product? I'd like to know how it holds up to daily use and if you've been happy with this choice.

Husband and I just found out about this product this past Saturday. From what I understand, the resins that are used hold up quite well and the product has the same resilience as Corian. We will probably use it to build a dining counter in our kitchen. As with any other counter, you will want to use a hot mitt or trivet to put hot pots on.

It comes in a range of thicknesses and sizes.
Here's a link through the website of the store we are going to be buying from here in SC. I don't know if the prices are the same industry-wide.

PaperStone

We have also looked at granite, bamboo and other materials for our dining counter. This is very comparably priced.
