There is a very good chance we will be relocating to Greensboro (currently in Charlotte) in the next few months. I'd like to look at some neighborhoods next weekend. I'm looking for family-friendly neighborhoods with the best schools possible, some yard space and around 3500 square feet or so... All between $300-400k. Friends have mentioned Lake Jeanette and a couple of other neightborhoods-I'd love your input!

We do need to be in the Greensboro city limits.

Thank you!

You can do a search, if you haven't already, and find a ton of info on what you're looking for.

If you must be in the GSO city limits, then Lake Jeanette is a good place to start looking. Be aware of the road construction plans along Battleground Avenue (and elsewhere). This information should be easily available from your real estate agent. Schools in the NW area of GSO are excellent.

I'd suggest the area where we live (Oak Ridge Lake Estates), but we are just outside the city limits, so sounds like it might not suit you.

We did look at a lot around the Lake Jeanette area too. We just wanted more space (both house space and yard space) than most of what we saw over there.
