A service mark is a mark used when providing a service where a trademark is usually one used when selling something. That's a simple way to put it.
I just thought it was interesting that someone got a mark federally registered for "Air" which normally wouldn't be a trademark because it's descriptive. But I suppose as a service mark as long as they aren't providing a service for "air" then it isn't descriptive.
And it's cool that it was someone in Greensboro that got the mark.
