We have our first Elon Family weekend this week. We'd like to take our son and his roommates parents to dinner Sat night near Elon. Can anyone recommend a restaurant or should we come closer to Raleigh?

There's a good barbeque place, Hursey's, on Main St as you go toward town. Will that work? What do you want to eat?

I don't think you need to go all the way to Raleigh. If you can give a little more information we can help you find a place you'll like.

That's right. Here's my favorite:

Best Food In Town - Blue Ribbon Diner and The Village Grill in Burlington and Mebane, NC - Alamance County's Favorite Restaurants

If you want to go down the road a bit for someplace unusual and special you can go to Saxapahaw to The General Store or The Eddy Pub, but I think the other suggestions are good. I've heard good things about both Hursey's and the Blue Ribbon. There's supposed to be a really good Mexican place in Mebane, I think, as well.
