Default Condo in High Point/Jamestown

Hi,

I'm looking for a condo or townhome in Jamestown or the North High Point area (Penney Road/Hickswood Road/Skeet Club Road area). Any recommendations? I've already visited Lennox Square in Jamestown and Hickswood Crossing in High Point and am considering those. There may be others in the area that I don't know about yet.

My other question is whether condos in this area would be hard to resell. Most likely I would be staying in the condo long-term (5+ years), but some family members are saying, "Don't buy a condo/townhome, buy a house." But I just don't want the maintenance of a house.

Thanks for any comments!

In the area you are looking, if you buy a condo or townhouse, don't expect a lot of appreciation in value and you may be in competition with new construction in the same subdivision when you go to sell. So in that area, I would stay away from TH or Condo- unless you want to rent it out in a few years.

If you gotta, I would suggest looking for a one story off of Morris Farm or off Penny road- a one story townhouse will always have a built in market toward older folks who don't want stairs anymore. There's Eagle Glen off Penny Road and River View off Morris Farm.

Good luck!
