Hi..I am looking for some info concerning kindergarten in the triad area. I am hoping to find a half day program for my son, but from the research I have been doing it seems there are only full day programs. Does anyone know of any schools in the area, public or private, that offer half day kindergarten? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello:

2 questions:

1. Why would you want a 1/2 day Kindergarten?
2. Where do you currently live that 1/2 programs are still offered?

1. I am looking for 1/2 day kindergarten because my son's birthday falls close to the cut-off date (october) and I am not sure he is ready to go full day.

2. Much of Southwest Ohio still has 1/2 day Kindergarten.

Michele,
I am also interested in a 1/2 day kindergarten for my daughter in the fall. I know of one that is in the process of getting started at the cultural arts center in downtown Greensboro with a GREAT, experienced teacher who does a lot of art w/ her class. I know that she will need to find a minimum of 8 kids to be able to do the program at the cult. arts center.(this year she had 10 kids, at another location). If you are interested, e-mail me back and I can get you in touch with her.
