I've read most of the archived threads by single parents, but I figured I'd give a little more background on my particular situation.
I'm a 34 year old single mom of a 2y/o, and planning on pursuing a nursing degree in the near future (that's in the 5yr plan). Any schools other than WSSU that offer either an ASN or BSN program? I have friends who live in the Lewisville/Clemmons area and am planning a visit for July/Aug of this year.
I am looking for a home in the $150-175k range, decent elem schools, younger families. Is this a reasonable expectation for this price range? I'm not set on WS but would prefer to be closer to there to be near aforementioned friends.
I have ample work experience in clerical/admin, and 2yrs experience in health-care (just got my CNA this spring). I'd like to continue building on my healthcare experience toward the RN goal, but understand if the job market is slim I may need to draw on prior exp to land work. Any suggestions of companies to look into? Is the job market better in WS or GSO?
