My family is mostly Kohl's and Old Navy kind of people. But I must admit I have seen the Anthropologie name at a mall, plus I have been in Urban Outfitters once or twice.
I looked at Anthropologie.com and saw they had some women's jeans for $555! Their cheapest was $88. Looks like a nice store though.
OTH, OldNavy's highest price women's jeans were $29, most currently on sale for under $20.
I realize Anthropologie is looking for a certain type of young, hip customer with lots of disposable income. Which is fine, because it means more taxes coming into Greenville, more jobs, etc...
The bottom line, the more people with disposable incomes spend their money in Greenville, the mo better!
Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters (owned by the same people) have been getting a lot of slack for ripping off other designers and artists. Some of their stuff can be found on etsy.com at a much cheaper price point.
Any store that is hated by Miley Cyrus is a win in my book. I'm definitely buying my mom some Christmas gifts at Anthropologie now. Oh and here is Urban Outfitters response to the whole copying somebody thing: http://blog.urbanoutfitters.com/blog...klace_designer Not saying they're wrong or right but that's just their side of the story.
The rendering of the building is quite underwhelming to me. Just my opinion.
It's good to see a new project, but I agree. It looks very 1970's modern to me. Hopefully future renderings will be better as it looks like the architectural form doing it does some nice work.
