Visited the Christmas Tree Shops website to see how close the nearest Christmas Tree Shops was, (Augusta, GA & Greensboro, NC), and what was listed, Management positions for a new location in Greenville County, SC. These stores are popular in New England since it was based out of Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod). Great shopping experience for seasonal goods and home furnishings. Keep your eyes out for the location. I've looked but haven't come across one yet. They are now owned by Bed Bath and Beyond. Maybe they'll move next to them on Woodruff Road in Greenville since the old Goody's location is available.

Actually I think they have more than "4" seasons. .... and then some. Their first stores are on Cape Cod Massachusetts, and then it went on from there. If you Google Christmas Tree Shops, you can see how they are. Many are styled like old thatched roof Christmas shops, and they are huge. Sign up for their flyers and you'll get coupons etc. It's a neat place!
Think Hobby Lobby and you have Christmas Tree Shops with just a bit of a New England twist. With our beautiful South Carolina Coast I think Christmas Tree Shops nautical themes will fit right in. They have picture frames, furniture, housewares and seasonal. Such a fun place to poke in.
I've always found most local year-round Christmas places in cities to be schmaltzy and avoid them like the plague. I must say though, Christmas Tree Shops is very well done. This will be a welcomed addition to the Greenville scene.
Additionally, the opening of such a large Christmas "superstore" says something about the local retail scene.....it says that dollars are freely flowing....to support this kind of niche business year-round.
This plus, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, REI, Apple, etc, etc, etc......not bad for a city of 60K.

However.... That is NOT to discount existing similar local businesses. I'd say, "Support local first" (but not necessarily exclusively)!
