It has become hazardous to drive a car in the city of Greenville due to all the restricted roads, streets and lanes favoring bikes.
I used to visit downtown Greenville frequently, ate lunch there real often. Now I do not go anywhere near the downtown area. Too dangerous.
Remember if you are driving a car and hit a bike, you will probably be considered at fault. Not to mention all the dings and dents caused by errant bikes.

I guess you don't drive on the interstate or the dangerous rural roads in SC (http://www.heraldonline.com/2011/09/02/3337447/report-sc-rural-roads-no-1-in.html - broken link)? If you hit another car, you'll probably be at fault also. If you can't drive safely around other vehicles and cyclists, then you probably don't need to be driving downtown, or anywhere else.
According to the City's urban designer, as the number of cyclists on the roads increases, the number of accidents involving cyclists decreases. Those who are driving a car will learn how to coexist on the streets of Greenville with cyclists and pedestrians.
I fully support the City's bicycle initiative, and would love to see more dense development around the CBD that would allow for a lifestyle that is not dependent on cars.

If you are driving a car and hit a pedestrian you will probably be at fault as well. Bicycles have as much right to be on the road as cars.
I am curious how many dings and dents on your car were caused by bicycles? Every ding and dent on my car was caused by other cars, usually in parking lots. Guess I better not park my car any more!

If you are a pedestrian wearing all dark clothes walking in the road at night, and are hit and killed by a car, chances are it is not the motorist's fault.
