Yes, La Bastide was/is (now Hotel Domestique) west of Glassy Mountain via S.C. highway 11. It is also close to The Cliffs Valley.
Ah, my recollection was right. I remember going to a dinner meeting there years ago. The views outside were breath taking and the inside decor was very nice.
Unfortunately, my gut feeling tells me that any high end place there is doomed to failure. I do not see well off people going so far out there to wine and dine or stay. I hope I am wrong on this one as I hate to see Hincapie lose this one.

There are quite a number of well-to-do folks in the several Cliffs (and other) developments within minutes of this property.
It was my understanding that is is going to be some kind of high end training center for extreme sports and not really a general public inn and restaurant like La Bastide was. Did I remember this wrong?
