Does anyone know anything about a new home rebate in the upstate. I have been reading other threads in other areas, and they mention a rebate. Some mention Inest? and others mention working with a local realtor that will rebate part of their commission on a new home. Does this go on here in the upstate, is it legal here? I am just now hearing about this and would like some information if anyone is familiar with that here, and if so, what builders? Some places say that the realtor rebates back 2% of their 3% commission.

Thanks, Liz

My wife and I are in the process of having a new home built with a tract builder and are not impressed with inest. They have assigned us a broker that lives 4 hours away and will not return our calls. If you ask me it is worth the piece of mind to have a real buyers agent. Forget the rebate.

We looked into that as well. Inest advertised builders looking for an edge in the market. I noticed the rebates have become more aggressive since the housing market has come to a dead halt. We decided NOT to persue the online Inest option.. They also do this with developments in NC especially the Charlotte area.

inest does offer a rebate on some new home communities but you get no representation from a real estate agent. I am a realtor and would advise that you contact an agent that you are comfortable with so that they can represent you during your home purchase. There is no cost to you as the builder/home owner pays their commision and they are working with your best intentions in mind.

Default I do commission rebates to new home buyers in SC

Go to my web site and read about my rebate program. If you are interested please contact me before you contact any other agent or an on-site agent at a new home community. I will rebate up to 70% of the commission that I receive from the builder. That is over 2% of the cost of house paid to you by me. It is the only way to buy a house. Any other way puts all that money in someone else's pocket.
