We are planning a few days stay in Myrtel Beach, maybe. We are looking for an oceanfront place at a reasonable price and find this to be a task. The web is just full of places. However, when you check the reviews, they are very disappointing. So, we figured maybe this forum can recommend by word of mouth some suggestions, for a couple days stay on a oceanfront/oceanview hotel in the Myrtle Beach area. Something that has a price, fitting to the surroundings. Not extravagant, not cheap. Something just right.
Thanks.
We've stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Oceanfront a couple of times. It's very clean and nice. Breakfast is also included. All the rooms have oceanfront balconies. Even when we went in peak season, everything was still really clean- a lot of times even a so called "nice" hotel can get a little worn or dirty during peak season- that wasn't the case here. Good luck with your search!

We've stayed there twice, the latest two weeks ago. We split our five days between there and the Marriott Ocean Club (amazing resort). Tripadvisor is a great place to start.
Be aware that review sites in general skew negatively because people who have bad experiences are more likely to write a review than people who have good experiences.
We bought a Groupon deal to the Aqua Beach Inn and went a few weeks ago. It's about a block off the beach and is an older property that was redone. For the price, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. All rooms face the ocean and have a little balcony (although some views are blocked by the beachfront buildings) and have a kitchen (sink, fridge, microwave and 2 burners). It's not luxury, but was clean, close, and the staff was great.
