Has there been any recent estimates on when the Five Forks store will be done? Guessing from the progress I've seen not until 2017.

Sounds impressive from the comments here.

There are more customers who describe Whole Foods differently and shop elsewhere every week. Why do more customers shop at supermarkets, hypermarkets, and wholesale clubs?

The specialty organic/gourmet grocery segment can take business away from other grocery segments by focusing on organic products and gourmet foods. That segment has not killed off the supermarket segment.

i do not understand why he is mocking you. you have obviously characterized these different types of stores in an accurate way.

Let me see if I can get this thread back on topic.

I visited Lowes Foods this weekend and was very impressed. The gourmet/local items were priced about where I'd thought they be....relatively high. I was surprised at how competitive their pricing is on regular brand name food and non-grocery items. I love the selection of bread, cheeses, etc. They gained my business as a regular shopper.

I have not heard any updates on Lowe's Foods considering the Verdae trade area.

I would think that would be a strong choice for their next announcement.

Lowe's Foods may not be the only supermarket that could join the Verdae trade area. Harris Teeter, Ingle's, Publix, and Walmart Neighborhood Market are possibilities.

I hope they come to Verdae! Although Bilo has some good prices I just dislike the store; can't really tell you why. Seems like there should be another choice close by; we go to Publix but it always seems a bit too far.

I have heard many negatives in recent years of BI-LO #5704, Verdae Village, 101 Verdae Boulevard, Suite 1200, Greenville, South Carolina 29607-3823. The supermarket has declined since opening in 2007.

Publix at Verdae would be very nice. It would be an instant upgrade from BI-LO #5704.
