I still don't like the name. A hockey team is supposed to be fierce. Not sure how you get that from a rabbit. And what am I supposed to do with all of my Road Warriors merchandise now? Burn it?

Do you know anyone who has seen a Swamp Rabbit in it's natural habitat? No? Because if they did, they didn't live to tell about it.
I haven't noticed anyone talking about a boycott.. Just that some don't like the new name.. I don't like the new name and don't like names changing, apparently for no good reason.. Of course.. I still refer to the Bullets, and they've been the Wizards for 20 years now. And they'll always be the California Angels to me. And the Florida Marlins. And the Devil Rays..

Now all of our Road Warriors merch is going to be retro and considered a throwback.
I must confess the name is growing on me! I still prefer the RW's. I believe they are trying to create new interest in an attempt to keep the team here. I would like to see them stay, so I will attend future games.
How many hockey mascots have ever tried to take out the POTUS? Just one, the fearsome Swamp Rabbit!! (Well....then again, it was Jimmy Carter!)

"I don't know if we will bother" is not the same as a boycott. I'm a happy season ticket holder, and having the hockey team here makes Greenville better.
