We saw that too. Thought it was cool at first then it threatened to ruin the night as the kids kept pointing to it and said they were not​ able to keep from looking at it instead of the fireworks. Apparently it also was fun to tell us that it was an​ alien ship coming in to enjoy the show.
We only saw one. There were more?
From where we were it appeared to be just a little higher than the fireworks.

I'm almost certain that I saw two - each with two red lights and a green light. They varied in altitude during the display, but from my vantage (by the amphitheater) it was hard to tell how close they were. Seemed close because every time there was a particularly large volley of fireworks they'd quickly get moved away for a short time and then move in again.
