Last night I went to 9 different gas stations (in Williamston and Pelzer) before I found one that had regular gas for $3.64/gallon went by the same store this morning and the price had jumped to $4.70/gallon. They were showing on CNN this morning that gas in Sumter was selling for $5.69/gallon!!!! Some gas stations in the upstate are now limiting customers to 10 gallons. What is everybody else seeing this morning?
$4.29 at Pumpers near my house this morning. It was $3.59 yesterday afternoon. Ingles less than two miles away was $3.59 this morning. That's a 70 cent difference.
I don't understand why this is legal. It is illegal to jack up the price of anything else, such as batteries, water, and lumber before a hurricane- why is gas any different? The storm HASN'T EVEN HIT YET!

Well I just saw on a business report that the gas companies lost 20% in the last quarter, so they are trying to make that up, and they are hoping that the average person assumes it is because of the storms. HIGHWAY ROBBERY
