Yeah so far so good, she seems really easygoing.

John Cessarich pass baton (John knows weather umbrella) to Chris Justus at end of 6:00 newscast with Michael Cogdill and Carol Clark looking on. End of an era as WYFF-4 longest serving weatherman now retires.

Weird it's been that long. I still remember Charlie Gertz and his "Charlie Said it Would" umbrella before John and some memories of Monty Dupuy and Stowe Hoyle before that.

I have to imagine Mike and Carol won't be far behind John on the retirement train.

I've been watching John Cessarich for about 10 years. I do think he is a good meterologist but not on the same level as someone like James Spann in the Birmingham AL market. I don't quite understand all the fanfare with this retirement (honestly, I'm glad it's over). At any rate, looking forward to Chris Justus this winter - I think he brings more expertise/regional knowledge IMO.

Chris is good but can be a drama queen at times.

He goes all hair on fire every time there is even a remote chance of snow. After he and John over-predicted multiple times, I switched to using the national weather service website instead to get my weather. No drama created there as they don't need to sell advertisements.

Wow. 39 years! She has hardly aged. She looks fantastic and will be greatly missed by that station and people of Western North Carolina.
