Ugh. Rain. I hate rain. It will probably not rain, it rarely ever does when they say it will.

Default It Didn't Rain - Great Time!

The weather cooperated and it didn't rain for our weekend visit. We had a great time. We ate at the restaurant, High Cotton, overlooking the street and falls area. Lots of people were out walking, even at 10 pm, but the only kids we saw were with an adult or in small groups of 3-4 and behaving themselves. James Taylor's brother, Livingston Taylor, was singing at the ampitheater and his performance was very good. There was a police presence, but subtle.

We went up to Furman's campus--beautiful. The lake with the swans was lovely, as well as the fountains on campus. All very serene.

We tried to attend Marathon Community Church to see what that was about but couldn't find it. We rode around Simpsonville and Greer, and especially liked the closer in areas of Greer.

All in all, a wonderful visit. Thank you, Greenville!

It sounds like you made the most of your weekend, staywarm2. I live in the closer in area of Greer and love it. I also enjoy walking around and photographing the Furman campus. I only wish it were closer to me so I could walk there every day.

I'm glad the weather cooperated for you too, though we could really use some rain.

We rode through Sugar Creek and it seemed so pretty. Is that a nice area?

i love how it's been this week. a tad rainy at times but fall is definitely in the air. it's the best season for this area, in my opinion. the perfect time to visit & head to the mountains to see all the fall colors. gorgeous. makes up for the lack of snow in a way, for this chicagoan.
