Penn State?
I know this might be aloaded question, but are there any Penn State football fans in the Greenville area? I know that this is a stretch considering that Clemson is right down the road. I'm just checking. One of my biggest life changes will be learning to do without the Penn State roar and becoming ( MAYBE ) a Clemson fan. I really do enjoy all college football so this will hopefully be not as painful as I would imagine.
Thanks!

I am not a native of the Greenville area. I am actually born and raised in Tennessee. While it was definately a shock to see how many people in this area hate what they call the "other orange", Clemson athletics have actually grown on me to the point that I am now a season ticket holder and I cheer as loud as most people at the game (the drunk frat guys still out-yell me )
I think you will find, as I have, that Clemson fans are really a lot of fun and they (or WE, I should say) really make for a great sports enviornment!

Penn State has a national following; there are bound to be clusters of Penn State fans in Greenville. And there are lots of Pennsylvanian transplants in SC -- my wife's from near you (Lehighton).
Now, if you're looking for a local team to follow, Clemson orange is a stretch for a fan of the staid Penn State blue. Furman purple is a better choice.

I anticipate becoming an avid Clemson fan at some point. I've watched their games over the years and like the enviornment. How difficult is it to get tickets or even become a season ticket holder?
Thanks

Of course we all know Winthrop football is the best. Still undefeated!
I know, very funny. But our basketball team has been amazing...beating Notre Dame in the first round this past season!

While I am more a fan of the local athletic teams and schools, my family heritage has strong roots in western and central PA, which is one reason I always pull for PSU and the Steelers. You'll discover that many people have relocated to Greenville from PA, especially the Pittsburgh region. Go Steelers!
