Tyler. I noticed today that the Riverside Family Restaurant on Cedar Lane Rd in Berea had put up one of those old Big Boy statues on the front lawn as some sort of yard decoration I guess. I'm pretty sure I wasn't seeing things as I rode by. lol. Pretty cool. I will have to look again.
That's nice for nostalgia, but I would like to see a real Big Boy restaurant return. I don't care which franchise, as I like them all. But I actually prefer Frisch's tartar sauce over the 1000 Island, and it has been a while since I have experienced the red relish in California.

Went to the one in Downey while in Pasadena week before last. Also visited Ralph’s and bought Big Boy dressings to bring back. Good stuff

Reason: Clarity
Shake Shack is great. Discovered them in DC, became an instant fave. The Atlanta and Charlotte ones have been good too. My only real gripe is the fries only being one size option. Maybe not anytime soon, but they'll one day make their way into SC and it'll be a success.
Apparently the Sears at Haywood Mall in Greenville will become the only surviving location in the Upstate, as Spartanburg and Anderson stores will be closing. Historically the Haywood store has been a strong performing location and one of the larger Sears stores in the region. Hopefully it will continue, but I have not visited recently and I heard the electronics dept. is now much more limited. If you want to purchase a good TV you apparently now have to shop at Best Buy, Target, or Walmart. And the popular Craftsman and Kenmore house brands may no longer be exclusive to Sears inventory. So they may have challenges ahead, as apparently Sears is no longer a destination for reasonably priced clothing purchases. Target and Walmart seem to do better here.
