We are getting into the final months before our move and have focused on Stonehaven. I haven't found information though like I have about Sycamore Ridge or River Walk. Does anyone know how active this neighborhood is? Are there community parties or events? I assume there are lots of kids, but some areas look like the all have older (high school age) kids. Are there many 10 year olds? Any info would help.
PS Don't mean to ask the same questions, the answers I found on here about Stonehaven were all pretty old and not very specific.
I haven't been over there in a few years, but it is a very family oriented neighborhood with lots of kids in all age groups - or it did when I last visited.
I looked seriously at Stonehaven when home shopping last year. It's a nice neighborhood in a good location. A large subdivision. We actually would have bought there, had we found the right house, but almost all of them needed updating and we didn't find the cost/value ratio acceptable.
That said, we did find one we liked very much, but it happened to be located on a cul-de-sac that was on the edge of the subdivision. That would have been fine, but it turned out that there were numerous coops and who-knows-what located on some private property about a hundred yards away. They had more than one rooster on the property, and that's a bad thing. So make sure you use Google Earth or some other satellite photos before you buy something in Stonehaven (or anywhere else for that matter).
Good to know, never would have thought to check that out. I agree most of them are outdated that's why I'm worried about finding lots of kids. It seems to be an older neighborhood.
thanks again for the advice!
