The people that I call every December aren't answering the phone. I'm not sure what that means.

Keep trying at all hours. Is there anyone, a neighbor of theirs or a friend you have heard about, that you can somehow contact?

You can call the PD in the town to go do a welfare check, G.

I am sorry for all who have lost someone to this horrid illness that didn't have to be.

I am so sorry for your loss, C. I have a cousin who also got Covid, along with her husband who has a bunch of health issues. He ended up in ICU but thankfully pulled through. This is just so unbelievable. I have a bunch of friends who go out line-dancing, with no masks on while they dance, and quite a few of them got it. I am SOOO glad I stayed home. At 70, I am much too afraid to take the risk.

Anyway, sending my condolences.
