I will add to that that there seems to be an expectation that after a certain age, middle-aged (and older) women must have short, ugly haircuts. I'm not talking about a stylish pixie cut. I'm talkin' about a hack job that looks like it cost eight bucks at Super Cuts. I've heard many women say that after 50, long hair is no longer "appropriate." WTH?

I LOVE short hair on a woman as long as it fits them. Not all women look right with the short hair look. I personally dated 3 women who I convinced to cut their hair short and the look drove me crazy! (in a good way ) Not too fond of long straight hair. Saw a woman with long straight hair this morning and she reminded me of an amish woman!

I think one of the reasons I've always been so enamored with the 1920s and 30s is because so many women had fairly short hair back then. If the 1920s and 30s style bobbed haircuts suddenly became popular again, I'd be in heaven.

Uh, short hair does not make a woman's breasts, hips, or vagina disappear so I don't know why you would think a haircut would suddenly make a woman look like a man. The only short-haired women I've seen who might be mistaken for men at first glance were lesbians who were trying to look manly anyway.

I think that men like to see themselves in their partners. If they see an older woman with short hair it doesn't reinforce their delusions of youth.
Men do seem to be kind of hung up on long hair.

A woman with sweet looks and a fine and classic neck will continue to look feminine no matter how short her hair is. If the woman has shoulders like a football player and the neck of a pit bull- well she might look at bit masculine and might want to find a job operating heavy machinery at a coal mine... not picking on manish woman...but if you are a masculine female but want to appear more feminine then more hair will help.....When I was a kid I was in love with the TV character on Maxwell Smart....agent 99...her hair in that blunt boob was very sexy...

There is nothing on the right...just two identical pictures one above the other- and I must say that is a fine natural beauty- the hair is not even noticed. You could shave her head and she would still be beautiful.
