Default Hair Salons-What do you pay for services?

I recently received a gift card for a hair salon and day spa. Haven't been to anything this fancy in many years! I am wondering what some people pay for their hair care services..cut, style, hair color, highlighting, eyebrow wax etc. It seemed as if I needed to take out a loan!!!

Wow - I'm DC Metro area - I go to Hair Cuttery, LMAO , I'd never spend that for just a wash/cut/style (on a budget here). Of course, hair probably shows that, but I'm okay w/it - I also do my own manicures, grooming, etc.

If I had a gift card from a day spa, I'd probably go for a facial, massage, etc.

Shampoo, cut and blow-dry costs about $40 or so in my area (No. Va) I don't get anything else done by a salon (I'm a big "do it yourself-er!) so there's no cost except for supplies!

Well, it depends on what I'm having done, but if I get color, cut, and style I normally pay about $225. When I'm getting a cut and style, maybe 135ish. I live in New Jersey, but I get my hair done in NYC.

My husband got me a $200.00 gift card to a day spa last year...
For this I got a 60 min massage
Eyebrows waxed
Basic manicure and basic pedicure.....

In real life..I color my own hair....my favorite hairdresser is at Fanstastic Sams...$14.00.
Pedicures around here are anywhere from $25.00 and up, manicures a little less.

Pamper you!! Have a great time!

I live in E. N.C., my cut is $50.00, cut and color $75.00, cut, color, low lights and highlights $125. I am a former NJ hairdresser and to me it is well worth it, I feel & look great. Manicure/spa pedicure very inexpensive $35.00 + $10.00 tip.

Enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

I used up my $200 gift card and them some! I didn't feel as though I had gotten my money's worth. I guess I was out of touch with the real world when I thought $200 would go further!

I can't believe the prices charged that some have quoted. If you were closer, I would've painted your nails, LMAO.

I live in the Charleston area of SC and pay about $50 for a cut and style. Most of the prices here are $40-80...depending on where you go and who does your hair. I'm a natural blonde and don't need color...yet.
