I am new to bugs, sounds wierd I know, but we didnt have bug problems there.
So, roaches- I had no idea they could be so huge! Ugh! They are pretty tolerant of most things right? So no trick or home remedy to get rid of them?
And fleas. How we and others didnt have this issue back in CO, who knows. I have bombed every room in the house, washed everything, thrown some things out, and am vacuuming a lot. I have given the cats capstar and advantage. However, we are finding an occasional flea here and there. Any suggestions?

What are these black and red bugs that seem to swarm things? Black with a red stripe.

I do love the lightening bugs

I am going to keep researching online but would like your input too. Thanks!

Depends on where you live. If you're in an apartment, getting rid of fleas is almost impossible as your neighbors won't do the same stuff you do. For our house, we treat the yard with bud powder and don't have fleas.

Do you mean Box Elder Bugs? They're annoying when they appear en masse but harmless:

We use Frontline Plus on our dog..haven't seen a flea in years. Spraying the yard is a good idea as well. Diazonon is a good bug killer.
