I used to live in VB and went to visit family this weekend. On the way home I noticed, thru the trees, that a very large building is being built just past the courthouse on the other side of North Landing road. I just got a glimpes of it. Does anyone know what it is?

I think you're referring to the new Kellam High School.

Oh man then you have not heard the best yet.... Once the students move into the new Kellam high school the old Kellam will be used by PA middle school while a new PA middle school is built....... Now the drum roll.... You ready for this..... Then once the new PA middle school is built the old Kellam high school will be used for a few years to house the students of PA high school .... That's right PA high school students wil go to school at the old Kellam high school while a new PA high school is built

Wow, thats gonna suck for those who have to go there. But is gonna be great for all the newer students. The newest school I ever went to was Plaza Jr High about 5 or so years after it was built.

Wait...I get that it's one of the oldest high schools in Virginia Beach, but didn't PA undergo extensive renovations after the big fire in 1995? Why would they need to build a new school not even 20 years later?

I was wondering that too. I heard that it also got A/C when it was renovated. But the actual building is over 50 years old.

None of that moving around or the replacement of PAHS are listed on the school site. Plus it would be unlikely they would send students that go to PA high school that far away.
