Same old stuff. The place really hasn't changed much in the past 10 years.

There's some new shopping. Some old shopping has closed down.

There were just 4 shootings in a 24 hour window in Norfolk the other day, so nothing has changed there!

They're opening a field and stream off of Battlefield. I have no idea what they sell but my coworkers are hyped.

There is an REI and a Nordstrom Rack in Town Center. And we have light rail in Norfolk.

Like I said, there's been some more shopping added. It's about all the changes around here.

Norfolk does in fact have the light rail to nowhere. Virginia Beach continues to fight the light rail because they don't want Norfolk's problems spilling over into their tourist economy. Can't say I blame them.

-New rec centers at Bow Creek and Williams Farm. Very good
-Lynhaven mall renovated. No 2nd floor food court anymore.
-Town Center is most obvious
-30th street at the ocean front has been completly developed to have this downtown atmosphere (where the neptune statue was built) pretty good. The downside to the oceanfront is the horse walks. Dont like that. Teenagers and out of town "youths" still cause behavior issues though.
-Norfolk Admirals are now an ECHL team. Not AHL which sucks big time! The drop off from AHL to ECHL is bigger NHL to AHL I think.

Thanks for the update! I worked at the Bow creek Rec center about 20 years ago! I bet it has changed big time!!

I hung out in an went to the food court at Lynnhaven Mall 25 years ago.

Towne Center did not exist when I lived in VB, but I have stayed at the Westin there many times since I moved.

I've been down to 30th St. and it is very nice there , and that Harris Teeter is a nice grocery store.

I don't care nothing about hockey , sorry. But, I do care about the Old Dominion Monarchs Sports teams , especially Basketball, and Football.

And, ODU has changed!!! I went to Old Dominion and graduated in 1992 from ODU! When I saw it , it was like a city in itself now!
