Verizon has become the WalMart of cable service. They only want the highest profit margins, and they do not want to invest in stuff where they will only break even and they definitely are not willing to take a loss. I doubt Verizon will expand again in Hampton Roads. I could be wrong though.

I just removed the last trace of the cable filth umbilical from my home and couldn't be happier.

Seriously: when I knocked it down to limited basic, I still had crud. Kardashians 24/7, 4 QVC channels, I mean it was complete garbage. No, I'm not in my 80s, I'm in my 30s.

I have to agree with those that recommend going with Verizon FiOs. Cox has terrible service and isn't much better in the "customer" service if you want to call it that. Unfortunately, there are some areas that have nothing BUT Cox so it has to do.

We are moving to Chesapeake soon as well. Does anyone have a recent suggestion on this topic?
