Yea maybe i'll just visit a few places early next year and move before next winter. Another thing that would be nice about Florida is that my mom and dad will still be in Ohio so visiting on holidays and stuff would be cheap and very easy to do.
Another thing i didn't think of, i love cruises and they leave out of Miami. Maybe that really is the place for me. I should probably start learning Spanish.
Def stick to the south. Hawaii is mega expensive, coming from Ohio you'll drop dead I used to live in the midwest, you'll cry If you are getting shipped out here its all game. But better if you've spent some time abroad in high price/small living condition places. If not Austin or Anywhere, Florida for sure. More bang for your buck. Hawaii is super awesome but if you are not ready for the realities will ruin your experience, better to power up a bit first
If you want night life in Hawaii, you are pretty much limited to Honolulu. But salaries are low and the cost of living is high, so unless you have some sort of specialized job skills that command a high salary, you won't be able to afford to go clubbing. All your money will go towards trying to keep a tiny roof over your head.
San Diego County, anywhere close to the beaches, is also mighty expensive. Salaries are better, but I never think of San Diego as a night club town. Although if you like strip clubs, there are those available because they specialize in the military.
I'm going to agree with the suggestion for Las Vegas. If you can keep yourself from gambling, you can enjoy all the cheap entertainment and food that is intended to lure the gamblers and part them from their money. There are fake beaches at some of the casinos that are pretty nice and there is Lake Mead close enough to spend a day on the water. There are definitely lots of strip clubs.
Additional benefit of Las Vegas: real estate prices are still in the dumps and if you do some careful shopping, you might be able to buy yourself a condo close in to town. That would beat renting a closet size studio.
You do make some good points. I'll add Vegas into my list of possibilities. I'm not ALL ABOUT strip clubs every day or anything but I do like to go once in a while. I know it's unusual but I really dig girls with implants.
