Yeah, I've lived in Austin and in Dallas. Both are fairly bad for driving; Austin has increasingly gotten worse - a lot of transplants from elsewhere in the U.S. I would imagine Houston is the same way.

Of course I'm not from Hawaii but we took off shoes in the Caribbean too, so it has always made me feel funny, but even more so after 2 years in Hawaii. Not only are you getting germs from outside on your floor, but why would you want to wear shoes all the time? They're uncomfortable.

Interesting, because we still don't where our shoes inside anyone's home. All of our family and friends understand and do the same. It'll be interesting to see what we'll be doing in the Winter here in PA.
