Geneva (AFP) - Alcohol kills 3.3 million people worldwide each year, moreAd by Deal-Dropper than AIDS, tuberculosis and violence combined, the World Health Organization said Monday, warning that booze consumption was on the rise.

Including drunk driving, alcohol-induced violence and abuse, and a multitude of diseases and disorders, alcohol causes one in 20 deaths globally every year, the UN health agency said.

Without booze and cigarettes ( the fires they cause ) there would be a lot less strife in the world !

Staggering statics ... Very sad that alcohol addiction is not treated for what it really is an addiction. A drug that controls the mind and the body. There needs to be more awareness at what alcohol really does. It not that a man is weak that he cannot put a drink down it's the addiction the mind transmitters the neurons in the brain . Alcoholism is a disease.
