There is such thing as over-protected from the sun for your skin. It can lead to Vitamin D deficiency.

But, is there such as a thing as over-protected from the sun for your eyes?

Good question. I think that there is. Light shuts off melatonin production so that you can be alert.

I never wear sunglasses and have lots of eye floaters. I've read UVA/UVB damage from the sun is cumulative so I've made more of an effort to swipe some of the clear 3M safety glasses from work, the cheapo ones, as all the ones they make, even the clear ones, block the UVA/UVB rays from my understanding. I prefer not to wear glasses that shade and block light and like full light levels during the day.
