Hi all, I'm looking for some ways to increase my energy levels. I don't feel I have enough energy to do everything I want to do, and I know there's nothing wrong with my body so it's no deficiency of any kind.

I just want to know what are some foods, habits, or things that have given you more energy to go about your day?

Yes, exercise - going for walks around the neighborhood. Talking with the neighbors. Drink mostly water after 10 am.

No alcohol, no smoking, no drugs.

Do a little something nice and helpful for someone else every now and then. (Good "karma"! Makes you feel good inside.) Just opening a door for someone or saying Thank You to someone who holds a door open for you will do the trick.

To these two I'll add a reasonable diet, including lots of water.
I've found that having a daily or weekly exercise routine helps, as I don't stop to question my energy level. I just do it.

I find getting up every morning at 5:20 am the same time and going to bed at 10 pm I feel more refreshed. Starting off with a healthy breakfast filled with oats such as porridge,Swiss Müsli, honey and cinnamon,6 cups green tea a day made a big difference too. Another thing cutting out processed food, eating less meat rather legumes or beans, adding ginger, garlic and onions in your diet is a real power booster. Walking daily, working in the garden or any type of moving around helps too.

Drinking a glass of ultrafine oats (100g). Iodine supplementation also increased my energy levels. It's practically guaranteed you are deficient, most of the population are. Some people find that supplementing with digestive enzymes before meals and on an empty stomach gives them more energy too.

Exercise has been very beneficial to me. I have more energy. Before I started, I was feeling like an old grandpa, who needed a nap a couple of times a day. Now I only need a nap if I didn't sleep so good the night before.
