If I were to fall into these warm waters, I ain't wasting any time, I would go directly to emergency and make them put me on antiviral/anti amoeba medication, even if I don't have symptoms, that is the only way you could increase your chances of survival, otherwise, you will certainly die. Most people die of infection due to IGNORANCE, they think they are gods and nothing will happen, it will resolve by itself.
You do realize, I hope, that you are far, far more likely to die from a car accident getting to the doctor's office than you are from getting this amoeba. This sounds more like a phobia than anything else.
