GP are stupid , I went to my GP and mentioned it to him. And he said, some other patient came in with the same issue. But he said he didn't know what that was. And basically dismissed it. I was like 15 or 16 when I first noticed them, and I'm now 20.

They're so general that the only look at the surface and never dig deeper or think, they think of the most general problem that fits and call it and that it.

BTW, my insurance (which isn't really that great) paid all but $450.

Of course, if you are paying cash they sometimes can reduce the amount but it still may be quite a lot, even if the problem is fairly minor.

Compare something like $65,000 for hernia surgery, plus some complications, to the costs of paying for health insurance each month.

I shudder to think of the costs of my upcoming chemotherapy and cancer surgery & treatments.
Jesus, I'm sorry that sounds insanely stressful. My mom told me, I should try to get insurance either reapply for Medicare or try and get my dads work insurance to include me. But, I did have Medicare but they took it away because of my age.

Not sure why you're not covered by your dad's insurance uup to age 26, but call your local social services agencies and ask about coverage for the indigent, if that's what you are. Worse comes to worse, use a credit card and pay it off monthly.

No one's mentioned this, it may be neurofibromas; they're like lipomas but involve nerve tissue; same disease 'elephant man' had. In other words, they can get worse if unattended and it sounds like you're at your wit's end as it is.

YES, I have the same thing.........tissue and fluids are "floating" on top of the bone.

See a doctor for real medical advice!

They feel like bone, hard and one of them is right next to my spine the other ball is on my left side next to spine also but farther than the one on the right. I have had these balls for years ever since I was like 15 and I'm 20 now. I always had back pain but it was upper back pain. Partly, because I'm a very athletic person and was very active and I had exercise induced asthma. I would feel pain around the balls in my lower back, but it was reasonable just rest, ice, heat and Ill be okay. Since I have been an Elite athlete , I have a high tolerance for pain and I know what soreness is. This pain is way different , it feels like sharp, throbbing, almost achy pain. But now, I have a job that requires me to bend down and the balls are causing me so much pain. I'm not even as active as I used to be but whenever I seem to do physical activity or bending and general anything that requires my lower back to be in contact hurts. Now the pain is so uncomfortable and almost debilitating like I can even bend down without feeling such a sharp pain where those balls are. Sometimes, its so sharp it literally takes my breath away, and I have to stop moving for a second to let the pain pass. Its hurting more daily now, it used to be just when I did a lot of physical activity now it more of a daily pain now. I'm sitting right now , and it hurts , walking around it hurts, and sometimes just laying down, and even sleeping the pain doesn't go away. When I lay down , it seems to take off pressure in that area but it still hurts. I ice, and apply heat and take pain relievers and nothing is helping. I don't know what to do this pain is intolerable now. I press on the ball it doesn't hurt but when I press directly around the balls it hurts. I literally everyday, get the urge to just cut my back open and rip them out.

I just want some advice , if anybody has had this problem. What type of doctor did you see?

Thanks
MG
Chiropractor.

I use a chiropractor regularly. I used to have severe back and neck problems when I started going in 1985. It took him a year or so to get me completely lined up, but the pain went away with the first adjustment. I go about 6-8 times a year and have no mobility problems at all nowadays.
I'm 71.

Adjustments don't hurt.

Medicare is for people over the age of 65. If you are 20 you could not possibly have been receiving Medicare. Medicaid, perhaps, if you are indigent, but nor Medicare. Under the law of the Affordable Care Act, people can be covered under their parents' health insurance up to the age of 26. So if you father OR mother has health insurance through an employer, you can legally be on their policy, at least until the Republican Congress changes the law.

If you have questions about the Affordable Care Act (commonly known as Obamacare) you can find out answers at healthcare.gov or by telephoning 1-800-318-2596

Well, I have seen a General Doctor last week and I told them about it but she said they are most likely lipomas.
This is what I always thought they were, but she said they are generally asymptomatic. But I told her I looked into it and that some can cause pain. BUT I told her I do not have health insurance, from there it seemed she didn't know what to do for me. She basically said that, and I thought she was atleast going to refer me to a specialist but nothing. She went onto saying saying if it a lipoma you might need a Ultrasound which are very expensive, and if its confirmed then you'll need surgery which is even more expensive. So basically, she was saying I don't know what to do for you and how to help you. So really frustrated about this. I guess, I need to see a different doctor. I just really don't like how she handled it.
