Ever heard of the weed killer Roundup? If you eat non-organic corn or soy, chances are that you are consuming it on a regular basis. Over 90% of Corn and 85% of Soy in the US is grown with GMO seeds which are engineered to withstand high levels of herbicides while killing all the weeds surrounding them. All just to make more money and you have one main company to thank for it, Monsanto, the makers of Roundup. It doesn't stop there, most grain fed livestock or farmed seafood is fed the same corn.

This *news* is several years old and known by most if not all that have paid attention to it throughout the last several years.
The last I heard anything and everything causes cancer, what is your point?

Obviously not 'everyone' knows about it OR has chosen to ignore it (like me or others). I still eat beef and I can't afford or don't want to pay for grass fed. The post is strictly FYI for those of those who may have heard of it but didn't know the whole story (again like me). I heard the term GMO and thought to myself, no big deal, well the GMO part by itself is not a big deal, the pesticides are! THAT's my point. Who cares about cancer, lol, I DO care about consuming poison even though it may not kill you right away.

I understand now, it was not a crisis until it became a crisis for you. Pesticides have been used for more years than many of us have been alive and there is also an acceptable level of pesticide that can legally be used on the much more expensive without additional nutritional value of *organic*.

Crisis? Like I said, I still eat the stuff. How do you know they are "acceptable" levels? and for that matter what is acceptable?
